St. Charles, IL, United States (AHN) – A Bolivian priest accused of molesting a St. Charles boy for five years fainted in a Kane County courtroom on Wednesday as he sought a lower bond from the judge.

Alejandro Flores, 37, told the court through his Spanish-English interpreter that he was not feeling well before collapsing in front of Judge T. Jordan Gallagher.

A $1 million bond was set earlier for Flores as the priest from the Holy Family Parish in Shorewood is charged with sexually assaulting a boy. Flores asked the court to reduce the bond to $200,000 so he could get treatment in Maryland.

The judge postponed the hearing to Thursday as Flores was led back to his jail on a wheelchair.
