Milan, Italy (CNS) – Madonna is designing a collection of sunglasses for the Italian luxury fashion line Dolce & Gabbana.
The material girl is teaming up with pals Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for the new MDG shades range.
The collection will include retro black plastic shades and gold-and-silver metal frames and will be produced and distributed by D&B’s eyewear licensee, Luxottica.
Gabbana told WWD, “We’re so excited. This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. She is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception.”
The pricey shades will go hit D&G stores in May worldwide. They will retail from 180 to 210 euros or around $250 to $290.
Madonna recently fronted the designing duo’s spring ad campaign. She will also star in the ad images for the sunglasses line.
