New York, N.Y., United States (AHN) – BNP Paribas, considered one of the strongest banks in the world and title sponsor of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA, is encouraging the recycling of tennis balls.
Together with Rebounces, organizers of the first national tennis ball recycling effort, the largest bank in the Eurozone in terms of deposits launched a campaign to bring old tennis balls back to court.
Tennis players from everywhere are encouraged to take part in the recycling initiative by heading to the BNP Paribas Open with their old tennis balls, which will be restored back to their original bounce.
The dead balls, using Rebounces’ revolutionary technology, will be re-pressured until they gain their bounce back
As an added incentive, players will receive a can of three new balls during the opening and closing weekends of the tournament, slated March 10- March 21.
The said incentive will be implemented until supplies last.
Meanwhile, former No.1 Justin Henin, who is on a comeback trail, plastered Slovakia’s Magdalena Rybarikova 6-2, 6-2 in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open Wednesday.
