CLEARFIELD - The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a scavenger hunt for children and their families.  Lucky participants can pick up a copy of the scavenger hunt to take home beginning March 10.

The contest brings questions relating to everything St. Patrick – from historical facts to myths surrounding the holiday to the luck of the Irish in popular culture.  Families may use any resources available to them in order to answer each question.  Once completed, participants may bring their answers back to the library.  Completed scavenger hunts are due by March 17.

One lucky child will win a St. Patrick’s Day prize basket.  Any answer sheet that is completed correctly will be included in the drawing to win.

Forms may be picked up during Shaw Library’s hours of operation.  The library is open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  For information about the St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt, please call the library at 814-765-3271 or visit the library’s Web site.
