Indianapolis, IN, United States (AHN) – After competing in partial schedules the past three seasons, Milka Duno will compete fulltime this season in the IZOD IndyCar Series in the No. 18 of Dale Coyne Racing car.

The Latina driver has competing in Grand-Am and countless 24 Hours At Daytona events, but transcended into IndyCar racing the past few years.

“I look forward to competing with Dale Coyne Racing,” said Duno. “I’ve had the chance to speak with Dale and the team to discuss goals for the season and we are in harmony in all areas. For the past three seasons I’ve only run partial schedules and I’m anxious to be competing in all the races this year. Doing so builds momentum and maintains consistency that I feel is a key factor to good results.”

Duno will compete in all 17 IndyCar events, kicking off the season with her new team in Brazil. She finished six of nine races last season.

With the new team, Duno will have the opportunity to compete at seven tracks she has yet to compete at.

“We are very excited about the challenges and rewards that lie ahead for Milka,” team owner Dale Coyne said. “We have seen Milka’s competitiveness on the ovals and now we look forward to focusing on the road course effort on a full-time basis in 2010.”
