Edwards Holds Nationwide Points Lead During Layover

Daytona Beach, FL, United States (AHN) – The NASCAR Nationwide Series gets a two-week break away from the track, but in the meantime former champion Carl Edwards holds the points lead three races into the season.

Edwards leads the points race with 505 and following him among the top-five in points are Brad Keselowski (464), Brian Vickers (457), Justin Allgaier (449) and Kyle Busch (424).

Steve Wallace (423), former champion Kevin Harvick (414), Greg Biffle (408), Paul Menard (398) and Scott Riggs (359) make up the top-10 in points.

In positions 11-20 are: James Buescher (347), Mike Wallace (346), Trevor Bayne (320), Jason Leffler (312), Joey Logano (311), Tony Raines (311), Brian Scott (310), Michael Annett (303), Scott Lagasse Jr. (297) and Brendan Gaughan (293).

John Wes Townley (290), Joe Nemechek (278), Eric McClure (275), Brian Keselwoski (258), Kenny Wallace (252), Colin Braun (249), Michael McDowell (237), Robert Richardson Jr. (237), Danny Efland (234) and Mike Bliss (207) make up postions 21-30.

Rounding out positions 31-45 are: Kelly Bires (183), Danica Patrick (183), Denny Hamlin (175), Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (174), Willie Allen (167), Parker Kligerman (155), Stanton Barrett (143), Kasey Kahne (138), Mark Green (107), Jason Keller (103), Shelby Howard (103), Bobby Gerhart (103) and Morgan Shepherd (97).
