Orlando, FL, United States (AHN) – The PGA Tour’s personal file on John Daly, one of the most popular and intriguing figures on the Tour, has been made public following a court order.

The 43-year-old’s dossier, which runs 456 pages, list a litany of misdemeanors including fines and suspensions.

Previously confidential, the file, reportedly obtained by the Florida Times-Union, revealed that Daly was placed on probation six times by the PGA Tour.

Apart from accumulating close to $100,000 in fines by the tour, the five-time winner on the PGA tour was cited 21 times for “failure to give best efforts.”

The American golfer was also cited on 11 occasions for “conduct unbecoming a professional.” The file ends in October 2008 with the golfer taken into protective custody after getting intoxicated near a Hooters restaurant.

It also revealed the extent the tour have gone over the years in trying to help the two-time major winner, ordering him to address his alcohol-related problem.

The PGA Tour, for it’s part, stressed that it has maintained its long-standing policy of not discussing the players’ personal files.

It also added that it has never voluntarily released information to the media regarding any disciplinary actions taken against players.

The file entered the public realm after it was turned over to Morris Publishing lawyers by virtue of a court order after Daly sued Morris in 2005.

It became part of the court file following a summary judgment favoring Morris on March. 23, 2009 after Daly dropped his appeal.
