CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department announced an arrest in a home invasion investigation.
According to police a 17-year-old Baltimore, MD boy was taken into custody for his alleged role in the Sept. 27 home invasion. Police said the incident occurred in Glen Richey and that it involved the 17-year-old and another male subject. Police said that both males entered the residence and robbed an elderly couple at gunpoint.
During their investigation police also learned that the 17-year-old had an active warrant from the state of Maryland.
The 17-year-old was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland on charges of robbery, burglary, theft and related charges, and his bail was set at $75,000. He is currently being housed in Clearfield County Jail.
Due to the nature of the crime a preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 14.
