SNYDER TOWNSHIP – A Brockway man has been charged with two counts third degree murder after an incident that occurred on state Route 219 on March 21 claimed two lives and seriously injured another person.
According to DuBois-based state police 33-year-old Eric Patrick Veltri was also charged with DUI, aggravated assault, two counts of homicide by vehicle while DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, two counts of homicide by vehicle, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, reckless driving and numerous summary traffic violations.
A warrant for his arrest was obtained and served. According to police he was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Inzana and committed to Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 straight bail.
