PHILIPSBURG – A 44-year-old Philipsburg man was arrested after an incident that occurred on Tuesday.
According to state police in Philipsburg, Richard Alan Coble and a woman were in an argument earlier in on Monday night that required police response. During the investigation Coble was advised not to return to the woman’s residence.
Later on Tuesday, around 12:30 a.m., Coble allegedly returned and entered the apartment with force. Once inside Coble is reported to have grabbed the woman and pulled her out of her bed and around her apartment. Coble then allegedly dumped the woman’s Christmas tree on her.
The woman told police that she crawled to the door and ran to a friend’s apartment in the same building. She then called for police.
Coble was apprehended a short time later. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Carmine Prestia Jr. and placed in Centre County Jail in lieu of $10,000 straight bail. Coble’s hearing is scheduled for Jan. 9.
