Curwensville – Fresh off their first win of the year, Curwensville (1-4) will face a tall order this Friday as they visit undefeated Kane (5-0).
The Wolves have dominated their opposition so far this season, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 204-57.
On offense, the Wolves boast a balanced attack. Through 4 weeks of the season Kane had rushed for 657 yards and passed for 559.
QB Zach Anderson has been very efficient, completing 34 of 53 passes for 749 yards and 9 TDs against only 1 interception.
The Wolves leading rusher is Dustin Moran, with 396 yards on 68 carries.
However, the strength of the Wolves is their defense. Teams average only 10.7 points per game against them.
Last week, facing Ridgway, Moran had an interception for the Wolves. Matt Mix returned an interception 33 yards for a key touchdown.
Curwensville will look to establish the running game with Ben McGary and Jed Greslick. McGary has rushed for 243 yards on 62 carries thus far.
Greslick had a breakout game against Johnsonburg in Week 4, rushing for 140 yards on only 18 carries.
QB David Kalgren has completed 27 of 70 passes for 422 yards, 1TD, and 8 interceptions.
If Curwensville can establish an early running game this could be an entertaining battle, as the Golden Tide have improved week by week under Coach Evanko.
Kickoff is set for 7PM at Kane.
