CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman who allegedly took forged prescriptions to CVS pharmacy in Clearfield Borough waived all charges to court Wednesday.
Debra Welker, 50, is accused of taking nine prescriptions to the pharmacy on Aug. 12. On Aug. 13, the pharmacy notified police that something was strange.
All of the prescriptions came from the DuBois Regional Medical Center. All were one 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper.
The prescriptions were for trazodone, an anti-depressant, hydrocodone, a narcotic pain reliever, and famotidine, a stomach ulcer medication. Court documents allege that all of the prescriptions had boxes checked on them to “fill” and “discontinue” the medication.
Welker reportedly said there were people at her apartment who altered the prescriptions.
The case will now be added to the trial list. Welker remains free on unsecured bail.
