Pedestrian Hurt in Cooper Township Accident

LANSE – A 42-year-old man suffered minor injuries after he was it by a car in Lanse, Cooper Township, Friday at about 9:15 p.m.

State police at Clearfield report that Verdabel M. Hoover, 87, of Morrisdale was traveling south on Knox Run Road when she failed to see Carl E. Wilkinson, no address given, walking south on the same roadway. Hoover reportedly struck Wilkinson with her car’s passenger side mirror.

Hoover realized she hit something and found Wilkinson. Hoover then gave Wilkinson a ride to a family member’s residence. Wilkinson then traveled by private vehicle to Clearfield Hospital for treatment of injuries he suffered to his left arm and lower back.

Hoover was cited for a traffic offense.
