CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough residents will soon receive income surveys in the mail, and borough officials want people to know that the questionnaires are confidential.
The surveys — done by RCAP Solutions Inc. –come as part of the borough’s sanitary sewer upgrade. In order to use Community Development Block Grant funds for the project and others, the borough must prove that residential income is at or below a certain level.
The last survey of this type, done in the 1990s, is now out of date.
The income surveys will be done only to determine eligibility to use CDBG funding, and all responses will be kept confidential.
The borough noted that it is extremely important that all borough residents, including renters, complete the survey form when they receive it in the mail in July.
Any resident who does not respond by mail will be contacted in person as part of a door-to-door survey at a later time.
Any questions about the project can be directed to the borough building at 765-7817. Questions about the survey should be directed to Donald Schwartz of RCAP Solutions Inc. at 861-6093.
