CLEARFIELD – Country Jamin’ the Valley closed out its second annual event Sunday with the third and final day of entertainment from independent country music artists.
On the stage during the afternoon was the 2006 Clearfield County Fair Amateur Idol Contest winner Health Olson with band Country Rebels.
Among Olson’s selections was a song made famous by Gretchen Wilson, “Redneck Woman.”
“Are there any ‘Redneck Women’ out here today?” Olson asked.
The sparse crowd that gathered for the performance responded with applause and cheers.
“You better help me with this song, then,” she said.
In additon to Olson, Country Rebels features Terry Dixon on acoustic guitar, Bill Dixon on the drums, Paul Hoffman on lead and rhythm guitar and Shelly Dixon on vocals.
Other performers throughout the weekend included Smokin’ Joe and the Wild Horse Band, One Less Tear, Jerry Schickling and Sean Patrick McGraw.
