CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners announced that a multi-partner hepatitis C screening is now available each Thursday of the month.
The free screenings are made possible through grant funding and partnerships between the Clearfield-Jefferson Heroin Task Force, the Clearfield-Jefferson Drug and Alcohol Commission, DuBois Regional Medical Center, Jefferson County Vocational Tech School (practical nursing program), DuBois Red Cross, Brookville Hospital, Clearfield County and Roche Pharmaceuticals.
Screening locations and times are as follows:
-First Thursday of each month at the DuBois Red Cross, 152 West Long Ave, DuBois, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.;
-Second Thursday of each month at the Brookville Hospital, 100 Hospital Road, Brookville, in the one-story building off the parking lot, labeled Women’s Health Center, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.;
-Third Thursday of each month at Jeff Tech, 100 Jeff Tech Dr., Reynoldsville, around the left-hand side of the building in the back of the school, from 9 a.m. in 1 p.m.;
-Fourth Thursday of each month at the Clearfield County Multi-Service Center, 650 Leonard St., Clearfield, room 104 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
-Fifth Thursday of each month, if there is one, at Jeff Tech, 100 Jeff Tech Dr., Reynoldsville, around the left-hand side of the building in the back of the school, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Testing starts on April 19. Anyone wishing to receive the service should call 1-800-892-9002 and ask for Eileen to set up an appointment.
