HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health invited faculty and staff from colleges and universities to attend a free pandemic influenza planning seminar, April 11, in State College.
The seminar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nittany Lion Inn, 200 West Park Ave., State College, Centre County. Capacity is limited to the first 75 people who register.
Representatives of the department and The Pennsylvania State University will provide information about pandemic influenza and the unique planning challenges involved in protecting the health and safety of students and employees. The seminar will address issues that affect multiple areas of college and university administration including health services, environmental health and safety, human resources, housing and residence life, safety and security, and facilities.
A template of Penn State’s plan that can be adapted to the planning needs of other academic institutions will be provided to each participant.
