Westover — The Harmony High School boys basketball team showed Curwensville why it is undefeated by building a 20-point lead through three quarters and then withstood a furious rally by the visitors for a 56-50 Moshannon Valley League win on Friday night.
The Owls combined balanced offense with outstanding defense for their sixth victory. Jeremy Priester led the way with 15 points, while Chris Priester tallied 14, Cody Rydbom 11 and Justin Rover 10.
Craig Bartlett had a career game for the Golden Tide with 28 points, including a game high five 3-pointers. He scored 16 in the fourth quarter when Curwensville made it interesting with a press and Harmony\’s subpar foul shooting.
The 2-2 Golden Tide will take its 1-1 MVL record to Moshannon Valley on Tuesday.
Curwensville also dropped the JV game, 53-45. Sam Gardner netted 14 points and Ryan Gardner 12. Harmony got 12 from Joey Schneider, 10 from Steven Williams and 10 from Ryan Griffin.
