CLEARFIELD – A corrections officer at the Clearfield County Jail has been found not in violation of county policies.
In February, Jason Shady was ordered to serve a three-day suspension without pay for a violation of the county “disturbance policy.” The correction officer union filed a grievance, and the matter proceeded to arbitration in August.
The arbitrator found that the county was unable to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
As a result, the suspension was overturned.
Shady is still a corrections officer at Clearfield County Jail.
