ELK COUNTY – What looked, at first, like one police fax inadvertenly sent over and over again, turned out to be six separate incidents investigated at the Greentree Landfill in Fox Township, Elk County.
GantDaily first reported that K. Gayle Trucking of Patterson, N.J., was cited after hauling municipal waste at a weight higher than was rated for the truck in question at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
What was learned was that, in fact, a total of six trucks were cited in the early morning hours Wednesday, all of them for carrying a load that was more than allowed.
The ownership of only three of the six trucks was released to the media. The other two trucks belong to L.J.F. Inc. of Irvona and Lark Transport Inc. of Union City, N.J.
Police did not release information on what, if any, fine the companies face.
