CLEARFIELD – About one month after being named acting director of the Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency, Melanie Voris is stepping down to pursue a career in the private sector.
The announcement was made during Tuesday’s meeting of the Clearfield County Commissioners.
“We regret to accept Melanie’s resignation,” said Mark McCracken, commissioner chairman.
“I personally want to congratulate her,” added McCracken.
According to the commissioners, Voris has worked at E.M.A. for 14 years.
“She was a joy to work with,” said Rex Read, commissioner.
“I’ll miss her, but I wish her well,” said Mike Lytle, commissioner.
Stepping into the role of acting director will be Jerry Pollock. Pollock formerly served as deputy director of planning.
“We appreciate Jerry…to serve as acting director,” said Lytle. “We’re fortunate to have qualified people willing to step in.”
