DUBOIS – For someone who is addicted to heroin, the only way to break the cycle is to enter a methadone treatment program.
Several years ago, Clearfield County became home to one of those facilities, and it could soon find itself making room for another.
RHJ Medical Center Inc., based in Hunker, Westmoreland County, has been running ads in local newspapers stating that the business is planning to open a treatment center in the DuBois area.
GantDaily will attend the DuBois City Council meeting Monday at 7 p.m. to see whether local leaders have received answers to some of the questions they have.
The other local facility, Discovery House in Pike Township, is fighting its own battle.
After being damaged by fire in January, operations moved into temporary structures, and now word has come from the company’s attorney that it is looking to relocate.
