MADERA – Many homework arguments end in the child being sent to their room to do their homework or some other form of punishment.
But a homework argument in Madera nearly ended in a stabbing.
A 41-year old mother and her 12-year old son became engaged in an argument over homework on Tuesday evening. It was reported the boy became irate and grabbed a knife. He poked a hole in the wall then threatened to stab his mother.
The boy then threatened to stab himself in the chest. The mother then grabbed the blade of the knife and broke it off and attempted to restrain the boy. The woman’s sister and brother-in-law arrived to restrain him and calm the boy down.
The boy was taken to DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment. No injuries were reported.
