CLEARFIELD – All good things must come to an end, and such is the case for a group of employees at Clearfield Area School District.
Teachers and other staffers were honored for their years of service with a special plaque from the school board.
Retiring were Barbara Schmaus, Janet Antes, Elizabeth Stumpf, Marty Clarke, Mabel Wisor, Gail Ralston, Cindy Rebon and Randall Watson.
The board also welcomed some new helpers at their Monday meeting.
Chris Crago, Mary Anne Wesdock, Amy Krchnak, Randy Lemmo, Ron Lizotte, John Sobel (also a board member) and Rob Maltese were named as members of the Clearfield Area School District’s Tax Study Commission.
Tax study commissions are required for all of Pennsylvania’s public school districts by the Pennsylvania Taxpayer Relief Act signed by Gov. Ed Rendell. The commission will examine existing taxes and make recommendations to the school board.
