BRADFORD – A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed four homes early Thursday morning, causing an estimated $400,000 in damage.
The fire started in an unoccupied home in the 100 block of Kennedy Street just before 2:30 a.m.
The fire then spread to the homes on either side, homes occupied by Frank and Cari Harriger, along with three other adults and four children, and Jeffrey Day. The home next to Day was also destroyed. It was occupied by Cindy Capps and owned by Steven Kloss of Lewis Run. Debra Miczo of Emporium owned the home where the fire started.
In total, 11 people were displaced by the fire.
The Bradford City Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Bradford Township Fire Department, Bradford City Police Department, the state police and the American Red Cross.
