CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County is set to welcome thousands this weekend for the Thrills in the Hills Motorcycle Rally.
The event kicks off Friday at noon, and entertainment runs the entire weekend.
The Psychogang Thrill Riders plan to put on shows at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Globe of Death will be the focus of shows at 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Felix and the Hurricanes are scheduled to play a concert beginning at 8 p.m. Friday.
Other events for Friday include the opening of the Beer Garden Friday at noon and the carnival, opening at 6 p.m.
A big change for this year’s event, which replaced Chrome at the Dome, is that motorcycles will be allowed on the grounds of the festival. Last year, bikers had to leave their cycles in the parking lot and walk to the festival.
Due to requests at last year’s event, more after-market and other accessories will be available for purchase, and events are being planned throughout the whole weekend, from dice runs to tour rides.
For a full schedule of activities, visit www.thrillsinthehills.com.
Admission for all three days is $15 and includes all shows and concerts.
The Clearfield Chamber of Commerce is set to give away a Harley-Davidson on Saturday night, the same night that John Kay & Steppenwolf take to the grandstand stage. The Clearfield Chamber of Commerce is also selling official Thrills in the Hills T-shirts at the event as well as on their Web site at www.clearfieldchamber.com.
