CLEARFIELD – Road work near Falls Creek along state Route 219 and SR 830 will get under way Wednesday.
The state Department of Transportation project will include the removal of the bituminous material on the SR 830 bridge deck. The existing concrete roadway and bridges will be repaired prior to repaving of the entire project area, including the Interstate 80 ramps.
The contractor on the $2.2 million project is HRI Inc., and all work is weather-dependent. PennDOT anticipates the project being completed by mid-September.
Motorists should remain alert for changing traffic patterns and lane shifts during daylight working hours. PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution in this and all work zones, stay alert for slowed or stopped traffic, obey posted speed limits and to always buckle up.
